Chapter 30 - Catching Up with Star and Kennedy

When last we visited the Leggasea family, Star and her new husband Kennedy (who showed how modern he is by sharing the Leggasea surname) were enjoying their honeymoon. It's been a while since we've visited them. Let's see what they've been up to!

Makeovers!!!

It looks very much like Star is liking hers. Man, I guess it HAS been a while since we visited this family. Her hair is MUCH longer now. But I definitely like her outfit. She always did look good in red. Daddy Benjamin seems pleased.

Umm ... it doesn't look like Kennedy likes his new look ...

Nope ... he hates it. I wonder what it is about it that he doesn't like. I think he looks good.

Oh, it must've been the glasses. :O)

So let's see. It's been several months since they got married, and it looks to me like they are still enjoying one another.

That's love for you I guess.

The cuddling on the couch ...

The sweet caresses ...

OOH! FRISKY!!

What's good for the goose ...

Is definitely good for the gander! *wiggles eyebrows*

But with all of this frisky behavior, is it any wonder that Star might be feeling some of the negative after-effects?

Doesn't look like much fun to me. :O( I wonder ... is she pregnant? Or did she eat some of her father's cooking?

I wonder why Kennedy looks so happy today ...

ooOOOoh! Star! You ARE pregnant!

Generation 3 is on the way!!!

Next time, the birth of Generation 3! I'm so excited! This legacy is the farthest long (generationally). :O))

Wedding Bells are Ringing

*sound of trumpets sail throughout cyberspace*

Larana Leggasea and Benjamin Long-Leggasea
Cordially invite you to the Wedding of their daughter
Star Leggasea to Kennedy Ege

Date: Now
Time: Now
Location: The Leggasea Estate

Please, join us.

(As told by Me: The Controller ...)

The weather was glorious the day that Star Leggasea married her college sweetheart Kennedy Ege. Larana and Benjamin had spared no expense on decking out their property for their little girl's big day.

They even went as far as inviting the local fire precinct and the local repairwoman who was glad to attend the event.

(Author's note: In truth, the repairwoman went to fix something ... I think it was the trash compactor ... or the dishwasher ... and she not only electrocuted herself, but she set fire to the kitchen ... tsk-tsk-tsk.)

Benjamin wanted his daughter married in a church, so a church she would get married in. They built one right there next to the house. And it turned out just fine. I'm sure it will evolve with the generations (just like the house), but it will do for the first born.

The bride was grogeous in her imitation Vera Sim, and the groom was very dapper in his imitation Simani.

So many friends and family were in attendance. It was so great to see Star's mother and father, and her sister Aurora. Lisa Creelman was Star's Maid of Honor. Other family friends were in attendance as well, and everyone was excited to be part of this event.

Don't they both look wonderful? Both are so very excited to be taking this next step in their whirlwind relationship. And I for one can't wait to see what happens next.

If everyone would please be seated, we can begin the ceremony.

The bride and groom have decided to recite statements of their love to one another before we get into the traditional stuff. Shh. Let's listen ...

Kennedy: Star, before we met Cupid had given me up for dead. I'd been in relationships in the past, but nothing deep, and nothing lasting.

But when I met you, Cupid shot a turbo-charged arrow straight to my rapidly beating heart.

Star: Ken, knowledge is very important to me. It became too important, and one day I found that my life had begun and I was missing it. Then societal pressure began to rear its ugly head, and I found myself on a spree to find someone ... with no luck. Then when I least expected it, you walked into my life.

And I'll be forever grateful to you for taking that walk.

It looks like our bride and groom have finished their statements. Not a dry eye in the place. Look at Star's mother. Doesn't she look lovely? And Aurora looks so proud of her sister.

And oh look! Members of the {CENSORED}. ;O) But doesn't Star's father look wistful?

Star and Kennedy only have eyes for each other though.

Ladies and gentlemen, the bride and groom are finished with their statements. I will now begin to with the tradiational portion of the ceremony.

We are gathered here today in sight of The Creator (me) to witness the joining of Star Leggasea and Kennedy Ege in simmish matrimony. Who gives this woman to this man?

Benjamin: Her mother and I do.

Star, do you take Kennedy to be your simfully wedded husband to have and to hold from this day forward, in sickness and in health, through your trials and tribulations, until the Grim One cometh?

Star: I do.

And do you, Kennedy, take Star as your simfully wedded wife to have and to hold from this day forward, in sickness and in health, through your trials and tribulations, until the Grim One cometh?

Kennedy: I do.

Then let us exchange the rings ... Star, please repeat after me: With this ring, I thee Wed.

Star: With this ring, I thee wed.

Kennedy, repeat after me: With this ring, I thee Wed.

Kennedy: WIth this ring, I thee wed.

What I have created, may no sim, computer virus, hacker, spyware, or electrical surge put usunder. By the power invested in me as your Controller, I now pronounce you Mr. and Mrs. Leggasea.

You may kiss.

Don't the two of them make a lovely couple?

Just look how involved they are in their kiss.

Yup ... very involved ...

AHEM! It's time to cut the cake now. Star went with the chocolate cake with the white frosting. A wonderful choice if I do say so myself ... and I do.

Come on, everyone! You're missing the cake cutting!

Now ... the question Kennedy is probably asking himself is this: will she, or won't she, stuff cake in my mouth - thus smearing it all over my face?

Let's find out!

Awww! Isn't that the sweetest thing?!

Benjamin certainly thinks so. I think he likes Kennedy!

Now it's time for the fun stuff. Eating the cake ...

Toasting the bride ...

... who looks like she could use a backrub.
Weddings are exhausting.

Oh look! Benjamin is toasting the bride and groom. Let's listen to his words ...

Benjamin: Kennedy, I'd like to officially welcome you into the family. Star was a handful as a child, but was pretty self-sufficient. Don't let her hole up by herself. These Leggasea women have a FIRE in them. Don't let it go out!

Kennedy (blushing): Yes, sir!

And you, Star. You treat this man right! Golden anniversaries are lovely things you know. And I want grandkids!

Star: Yes, daddy. :O)

To the Bride and Groom!

Ah yes. The traditional dance. *smile* Don't they look lovely together. All the romance of this day will live on forever. :O)

And it looks like Aurora is pleased to have a brother-in-law. Isn't that special? Sisters who love one another and like each other's intended. Sweet!

Oh! It looks like Lisa Creelman (Maid of Honor) would like to propose a toast to the happy couple!

Lisa: Star, I wish you and Ken all the luck in the world. You guys are going to make beautiful babies, and I can't wait to see them!

To Star and Ken!!

Be happy, you guys.

Oh, they will be, Lisa. I'll make sure of it.

Looks like these guys had a rockin' good time at the wedding party. Still not a roof-raiser, but still pretty great. I'm pleased.

And now for the honeymoon!

Ah. Benjamin would like to have the "father-daughter" talk with Star before she goes.

Benjamin: Star, I wanted to let you know that I'm so very proud of you. You're a college graduate and now you're married. I know that I wasn't always the greatest father in the world, but I love you, baby girl.

Star: Oh, Daddy ... :O)) I love you, too!

Looks like Larana and Benjamin had a little wedding gift hiding in front of the house!

Star is so excited that she's practically FLYING!

Enjoy your honeymoon, you two!

And time passes ... as it usually does ... and our honeymooner are back from their two weeks of wedded bliss on the cruise that Star's parents bought for them. Don't they still look blissfully happy?

And what's this? Haven't they had ENOUGH?!

I guess not!

But these two are so in love. You can tell by the flowers and the personal photos.

Love is a many splendored thing!

And these two couldn't agree more!

Is it time to make a baby now?

Ooh! I guess it is!

I wonder if it worked. I know that even though Star is a knowledge sim, she wants a baby with Ken.

And Ken wants children ... I know that much.

Two sims who go so well together SHOULD have kids.

Can't you just FEEL the love?

They're gonna be great parents ...... somday. ;O)

And that was the wedding! I hope you all enjoyed the birds-eye-view of the festivities and the ... after show. ;O)

Did they make a baby?

I dunno. Guess you'll have to come back later to find out!

;Op~~

Be It Ever So Humble ...

... There's no place like home. Yes, ladies and gents. Star is GOING HOME!!! She graduated, and now she's homeward bound.

Let's check in on her, shall we?

;O))

(As told by Star Leggasea ...)

Ah ... home sweet home ...... Wait a minute!!!

I ... don't remember the house being THIS big!!

*flashback*

(Author's note: I've hunted and hunted for a more recent shot of the house that was taken just before Star went to college, or just after, or maybe before Aurora went ... or after ..... to no avail! *grr* This is the best I could.)

Wow ... mom and dad must've put my graduation gift from Academie Le Tour (being the prestigoius place that it is, they give a $20,000 bonus to all honors students) to good use!

I don't know if anyone of you recall my mom and dad's outfits when they transitioned. If you don't, I'm more than happy to provide the startling visual ...

Actually, mom transitioned into a bathing suit, but her everday outfit was JUST as hideous! And don't get me started on the outfit that mom gave me for graduation. *shudder*

Anyway ... I felt that clothes shopping was in order ...

I think we all look MUCH better now ... don't you?

MUCH ...

Anyway, Ken Ege (my boyfriend ... *swoon*) also graduated on the day that I graduated. Isn't that a funny coincidence? So as a present, I took him downtown.

I just couldn't figure out why he felt the need to wear his graduation duds.

But ... heh-heh-heh ... he look so hot in them ...

Don't look at me like that! I couldn't help myself!

And neither could Ken. ;O}

He enjoyed it very much ... and left me flowers. *blush*

We were each other's firsts - kiss and "woohoo". :OD
Isn't love grand?

Two virile adults such as ourselves shouldn't be kept apart. I was an adult. Ken was an adult. We're both of consenting age. We were engaged. It was time to take the next step.

I invited him over ...

Greeted him like he should be greeted ...

And asked him to move in.

He said yes (was there ever a doubt).

I wonder where those little glittering balls of light come from.

I think he aged well ...

VERY well ... *drool*

And now there's a wedding to plan. Gotta get in shape for that. So much to do ... so little time. What? You didn't honestly think I would stay engaged to him indefinitely after having him move in did you? I'm a traditional woman (of the 21st century). Move in ... THEN marriage.

See you there!

Oh HO! What's this???

A Wedding?!?! Hmmm ... should be interesting to see. ;O)) Tune in soon!

Star Graduates!

When last I updated (which was last week), we all found out that Star ... has a MA-AN! Woohoo (of the non-sexual type)!! Hehe. Kennedy Ege (Ken) was her man, and she decided why wait? She asked him to marry her, and he said yes.

But it's getting close to that time when the first born of Larana Leggasea (daughter of Benjamin Long-Leggasea) would graduate. Should we check in on her?

Okay! :O))

(As told by Star Leggasea ...)

Today ... is graduation day!

And to commemorate such an occasion ...
I've changed my look ... again. ;O}

Boy ... working out has toned by body in ways I never thought possible. I hope Ken likes it. My shoulders look a little broad (like Angela SimBasset) because of my shoulder muscles, but ... I think I like it. What do you think?

And isn't it great that on my graduation day, my boyfriend officially became a member of Var House? I'm so proud!

Star is calling up a few people for the party ...

WHAT party?! Why ... my GRADUATION PARTY!!!

I've got all the fixens. Mom and dad are attending. My baby sister (my Greek sister as well as blood sister) is going to be there, as is Lisa Creelman and Andrew GilCarbo. I hope they have a good time.

Think the bonfire will help?

After a few rounds of drinks and after dancing the smustle long enough to sprain hamstrings, we all decided to just chill out ... reminisce.

Ah ... the days of Freshman year seem so far way ...

Andrew remembered when he moved into the Freshman dorm. He admited to being a little bit intimidated by me. He said it was the ears ... but I think it was the tattoos. ;O}

Lisa recalled the time she was downtown on a date with Andrew and she decided to try out the Dance Sphere ...

With predictable results ... hehe!

The current live-in house members recalled the time when the roaches practically took over Var House, and we had to beg Robbie Chavrat to come over and deal with the problem. I've never seen so many star-struck housemates before.

*swoon* Robbie ... *drool*

Don't tell Ken, but I had a MAJOR crush on Robbie while "The Heiress" was airing. ;OD

Some even jokingly tease me about entering the work force.
But I'm READY (as Spongebob would say)!!

And speaking of being ready ...

Here we go!

Ugh! MO-OOOM!!!!

(Author's note: Maxis is no good about clothing!)

Ah! Time to go home ... I'm so excited!

I'm going to miss all the fun times at Var House ...

And I'm going to miss my little sister ...

I hope she comes home to visit once in a while ...

And there we have it! Star has graduated (WITH honors) from Academie Le Tour! *dances* I can't wait to see what changes she makes to the main legacy home.

As it stands, Star is kind of the "unofficial" heiress. First off, she was born first. Second, she has her mom's ears (Aurora does not). I'm still going to bring Aurora home when she graduates. Whether or not she stays there ...

I dunno about that yet ... ;O)) Tune in!

Love ... FINALLY

When last we left our Leggasea girls, Aurora was going on and on about how much she loved her fiance Payton Gast.

Lisa Creelman was proposing to her boyfriend Andrew GilsCarbo.

Star was trying to date, but it wasn't working out. She was starting to get really jealous of her sister and her friend.

Where were all the good men in the world?!
Let's find out, shall we? ;O)

Dear Mom and Dad,

Don't you find it interesting how you meet the most interesting people when you least expect to meet them? There I was talking to Pao the mailguy, and along came Kennedy Ege ... Ken.

Needless to say, we got along right from the get-go, and dating seemed like somewhat of an afterthought.

He and I already had so much in common, that going downtown to hang out even more was just something else to do to spend time together. And we spent lots of time together.

I think I might love him ...

But here I was ... a second semester Senior, and I'd never been kissed! Not even once! And don't let that other letter I sent you fool you. I didn't kiss that guy even though he wanted one. It just didn't feel right!

But with him. It felt right.

Oh ... so ... right ...

Righter than right! It was wonderful.

So wonderful that we decided to try it again ... :O)

Ken is amazingly good at kissing ... amazingly good. But of course, I don't really have anyone else with whom to compare him. But ... that's okay. He's good enough for me.

Although the downtown gypsy lady decided to see if he was the right guy for me (for a small price). She looked like she could use the money though, so I went ahead and let her check her crystal ball.

Yup. He's the man for me. It's nice to get a professional opinion. ;O)

Dating Ken has made the last half of my senior year the best! Studying seems to fly by when I think of the flowers that he leaves me from time to time. He's so wonderful! I wonder if this is how Rora feels about Payton.

Did I mention the kissing?

He's a great kisser. The BEST. And my best friend, too.

I wonder if he might like to be more than that ...

So one night, I decided to find out how he felt about me. I mean, I'm not getting any younger, am I? Mom reminds me of that fact every time we communicate! And there's no time like the present, right?

And to my utter surprise ...

I found out that Ken loves me!

And when he asked me to search my feelings ... to determine how I felt about him ...

I found out that I, too, am in love!

Take life by the horns and ride it for all I'm worth, right? I'm in love with Kennedy Ege and he's in love with me.

A doubt a guy like him will come along again. He's my best friend. He makes my toes curl when he looks at me with that small smile of his. My heart feels like it has run a 10k after our kisses end. And I have no problem telling him this.

I asked him to marry me.

The sky was bright with stars of the Milky Way. The moon was casting his handsome features in an ethereal blue that brought out the warmth in his eyes. He was the one.

"Marry me," I said.

And he said ...

"Yes!"

I've had a lot of happiness in my life, mom. But Ken brings me to a level of happiness that I've never reached before.

I don't think I could get any happier than I am right now.

I don't think it's possible ... :O)

Anyway, my last final is coming up. I've gotta study. Graduation is JUST around the corner! Then I'll be coming home. :O)) I hope you've done some decorating. I'm not a child anymore.

Love,
Star

Wow ... who knew?! I thought it would NEVER happen! And it has. She's found her man.

Now ... who's my heir? Dunno! :OD Probably both of them (for now). Hehe.

Next time? Star graduates and moves back home. What changes are in store for her?

Of Dates and men

When last I updated my Leggasea blog (which was just a few minutes ago ... heh-heh-heh), Larana (the founder) and her man (Benjamin) aged (about time)! Now I can finally, FINALLY get back to our heiress-apparents. ;O))

YAY!

Dear mom and dad,

Life ... is almost perfect. Payton is the absolute love of my life.

I'm almost ready to move our relationship to a new level.

But not quite ALL the way ... :OD

I've finally introduced Payton to Star, and it looks like they get along pretty well. I hope you like him, too, when you meet him.

Yes, dating him is absolutely magical ...

And the flowers that he leaves for me seem to stay gorgeous all the time without me needing to do anything to them.

And the other gifts that he leaves me aren't bad either. ;O)

I guess he just loves me enough to spoil me. What a great guy!

I am worried about Star though ... but I won't get into why I'm worried. I'll let you judge for yourselves. More to come!

Love,
Aurora

Dear mom and dad,

Well ... here I am. I'm finally in my last semester of my senior year! Can you believe it? It feels like only yesterday that I was a Freshman with eyes bigger than the rest of me. Not long now, and I'll have my college degree in Biology. Are you excited? I know I am!

The girls and I seem to be getting along well in our fledgling Greek house. But we're not all studying. We know how to have a good time, too.

And to answer your question, mom ... I AM meeting guys.

Right and left ...

So stop worrying about me already.
My guy is out there somewhere ... I hope.

In the meantime, Lisa and her guy are getting SERIOUS!
Andrew took her out bowling one night ...

And then out of the blue ...

She asked him to marry her!!
Yes, you heard me right! SHE asked HIM!

Lisa told me that she was SO nervous. They really hadn't been dating all that long, but she confided in me and told me that she really was in love with him, and wanted to have babies with him. Go figure!

Thankfully, he accepted!

The waitress, apparently, was so surprised that she dumped their dinner all over Lisa, but neither of them really noticed. They were on CLOUD 9!

Of course, the coach thought Lisa was getting kinda chubby, and forced her to start working out. What IS it with the coaches on campus and people's bodies?!?! Nothing wrong with a little meat. It's no wonder that women today are always starving themselves.

*sigh*

Yeah ... I'm kinda depressed with all the love in Var House. I mean, what's so wrong with me that guys just don't seem to take me seriously? Am I too serious for them?

I mean, so I like to keep my grades up. So what?!

*sigh* It's just so exhausting thinking of school and men.

I just wanna come home and sleep in my own room ... just take a break from everything.

Think I'll go to bed. I'll write to you again soon.

Love,
Star

Zzzzzzzzzzz ......

Hmmm ... poor Star. I'm glad that Larana hasn't mentioned anything about the legacy to her. She'd probably be bouncing off the walls!

Nope. Still not sure who the heir is. Maybe I'll just make them both the heir.

Keep your eyes pealed for more updates in the near future!

Golden Years

When last I updated this blog for my Leggasea Legacy (hehe), Larana (my founder) married her long-time, live-in boyfriend (Benjamin Long ... now forever known as Benjamin Leggasea).

What have they been up to now?

Dear Girls,

Today is your father's birthday.

I can hardly believe that I've been with this man for so many years that he's going to transform into an elder before my very eyes! I wonder how well he's going to age ...

Some sims age so that evolution takes a few steps back. Then you get those sims who age like fine wine ... and seem to only get better as they age. Will your father be one of the former or the latter?

I'm hoping for wine, myself.

As I cheer him on, I began to imagine all the possibilities ... and some of them are not pleasant.

Here we go ...

Not BAD!!

Not bad at all! *wipes forehead in relief*

I shudder to think what I would have done if he'd turned out to look like that dog-faced boy (Cleve) I've been hearing about. *shivers* But I was worried about nothing. Your father, though he's got some age spots and his hair is silver instead of blond, is just as handsome as he was when he was young(er).

But now ... his aging has got me to thinking about my own upcoming aging event. I'm not going to stay this young and virile forever. I've had two children, both of whom are in college now. I can't let age drag me down. I've got to take care of myself.

Yoga is absolutely perfect for keeping the wrinkles away.

And is seems to keep your father youthful, too ... but I don't think he's getting any exercise benefit from watching me. Hehe! :O)

But alas. All the yoga and energy shakes in the world won't keep me from aging. DRAT! *sigh* Oh well. I guess it was inevitable.

But I'll not age by myself (your father was at work)! This is one of my friends. Can't remember what her name is though. Heh. DAMN! Age is making me senile ALREADY!!

But I did get a nice promotion before this time came. I hope that I'll hit my career goal before I croak though.

I wish to remain beautiful forever!

Okay ... this feels kinda .... weird ...

Whoa!!

Ah geez! My back is KILLING me!

Ahhh ... CRAP!! My boobs are all droopy!!

*sigh* Damn it. I guess wishing doesn't really work. :O(

But at least I aged in a good mood. I hope your father doesn't mind that I'm a droopy old lady now.

Maybe some bath salts will help ...

Anyway, my girls ... I haven't heard from you in a while. What have you been up to? Aurora, how's life with your beau? Star ... do you even have a beau yet? You're not getting any younger. Time waits for NO sim! Get on it!

Love,
Mom

And here is where I stop playing the main legacy lot since the parents have now aged to a ripe old golden prune-type of age. Hehe.

It's time to get back to the girls. Which one is going to be heir? I still haven't got a clue. Will Star find her man? Mmm ... mebbe. *ROTFL* Stay tuned!

Home on the Range

When last we visited the Leggasea family, we were all getting to see what life was like on a college campus for our Leggasea girls. They even formed a Greek House (Var House). And the youngest, little (or not so little) Aurora proposed to one of her professors (Payton Gast) who accepted!

Say it with me now ... AWWWWW! :O)

Star (poor girl) is surrounded by people who are forming relationships or are already in relationships, and she's starting to feel a little left out.

But what has our founder (Larana) and her live-in boyfriend (Benjamin Long) been up to since the girls moved to college? Let's find out, shall we?

Dear Star and Aurora,

Mom here ... and feeling like a MILLION BUCKS! Woo! These energy drinks really pack a punch.

Thanks for all of your letters and emails. I feel like neither of you ever left. HA-HA! Congratulations on your engagment Aurora! I can't wait to meet him. What about you, Star? Any new guys on your horizon? And a Greek House!! Wow! I wish I could have gone to college. I would have had so much FUN! :O)

Your ol' mom's not getting any younger, and I still haven't reached my want of reaching the top of the athletic career. I'd probabaly already BE there if it wasn't for losing my job so long ago. :O(

Aside from working out like a maniac, I think I might be hitting the midlife crisis people my age are always complaining about reaching. Why's that you ask? Well ... *clears throat* ... I proposed to your father. I really don't know WHAT came over me!

After all these years of non-wedded bliss ... I proposed to the big lug.

And he ACCEPTED! Crazy, CRAZY man.

I must be totally insane. What do I want to get married for? Benjamin and I have been perfectly happy. He gave me a daughter ....... err ... TWO daughters ... yes. He's at the top of his career ... I'm nearing the top of mine. Marriage ... it's just a piece of paper.

Maybe I'm approaching menopause or something. Cuz I went through with it. I married him. *sigh*

He seemed pretty happy about it though. So what can you do? He's probably been wanting to marry me for years, but you know how he is.

Besides ... where else am I going to find a man who kisses like him. ;O)

Of course, the next day reality jumped up and bit me in the ass. I was married ... the ol' ball and chain. I was feeling pretty sorry for myself, so I went out and bought myself a present. Do you like? ;O)

Don't get me wrong, girls. I love your father to pieces. I do. But MARRIAGE? Didn't work for my parents ... why on simearth would it work for me? I've got WAY too many notches on my bedpost!

But ... your father caught my eye back before you were both born, and he just seems to age like a fine wine. Just keeps getting better and better ... ;O)

I think he feels the same way about me, too. And he's never really shown any interest in any other women. Your mom is HOT!

And let's face it. Your father may be aging, but he's still got it. And still so romantic.

We've started dating again. With you girls out of the house, your father being at the top of his field, and me moving ever closer to my goal ... well, we have more time for those sorts of things.

To commemorate our newlywed status and the fact that we're dating (which is really something we never did before), he and I jammed for a bit. I swear, he lives, eats, and BREATHES that drumset.

And speaking of jamming ... do you girls remember Bill Baity? The boyfriend of our neighbor Ginnea Porcine? HE KEEPS COMING OVER UNINVITED!!! It's drives me NUTS!!!

I certainly hope one of you didn't flirt with him when you were still at home. He seems pretty outgoing. I may have to get a restraining order.

Anyway ... where was I? Oh yes! Dating. Your father and I have been dating like crazy! There are just so many fun things to do downtown.

One of my favorite things to do is getting our picture taken in the photobooth.

Of course, I have NO idea why taking a picture draws such a crowd.

It's not like we were making monkey noises or anything.

Oh, wait. Yes, we were. *wiggles eyebrows*

As a matter of fact, making monkey noises is something that your father and I quite enjoy. You girls should try it sometime. ;O))

There are OH-SO-MANY places to practice that sort of activity. Hehe.

Anyway, I think I rather enjoy dating your father.

And he's good at spinning the records like you girls.

Anyway, girls. I've gotta get going. You're father and I are going bowling!

One last thing ... Here's a picture of your father an me. You could hang it up in your new Greek House so all the members know where you girls came from. ;O)) Hehe.

Ah ... immortalized forever!

Love,
Mom and dad

P.S. Aurora ... what guy were you talking about that you said you thought you saw me with?

Parents are interesting creatures. They get old, and suddenly they want to be young again. *shakes head* I wonder what ELSE they've been up to ...

Greek Life

In our last installment, the girls founded a Greek House ... tentatively being called "Var House" (until future generations get the other two letters). They have one pledge thus far (Lisa Creelman). Also ... Aurora found a man ... and she fell in love. At the end of the update, Aurora proposed to him ... will he accept??? Find out below!

Dear mom and dad,

Star and I are so, SOOOO sorry for not being able to complete our last letter to you. Classes. You know how it goes. And since we've gone and founded the Greek House, we've gotta fund it - so we've been busy with that, too (more about that later). Furniture needs buying, walls need to be put up. And I hate the wallpaper. But we can't afford much right now. Soon though.

Anyway ... from your letter, I see that dad influenced you to write a few choice words about my proposal to my college professor. Oh! And I got so wrapped up in writing to you about him and how wonderful he is that I didn't tell you his name! *blush* His name is Payton Gast, and he IS only 25! I'm 18 ... I'm an adult. A WOMAN. Tell dad that he needs to realize that.

Anyway ... Payton is 25 (young for a professor), but he's absolutely brilliant. Dad's probably wondering what a college professor wants with a Freshman. Apparently dad has forgotten that I'm more mature than HE is (what middle-aged man wanders around wearing sunglasses all the time and dreaming of being younger? *shakes head*). And I don't care if you show that bit to dad. He needs to realize I'm not the little girl anymore that he helped transition.

Payton thinks I'm insightful, funny ... beautiful. *blush* Love is love. No one has control over who they fall in love with. If they think they have that control, they're deluding themselves.

I proposed to him because I love him ...

And he loves me because ...

... HE ACCEPTED!!!

We've been very open about our relationship, and since I'm going to be declaring my major soon, they don't have a problem with it. We've been to the Dean and everything (just in case). So you won't have to worry about irate parents calling up and calling me a whore or a slut.

Payton's not like that. He said he wants to wait until we're married.

I think that's great. I'm not ready for that step anyway. And even if I was ... I know how to protect myself. So STOP worrying! And give dad a valium or something.

Hey, mom! Hey, dad! Star here. I just wanted to touch upon something that Rora mentioned earlier in the letter. Funding of the Greek House ... Var House. :O) Yes, we (Rora, Lisa, and I) have been putting our heads together trying to figure out how to fund ourselves. There's the obvious influx of scholarship funds that we get for doing well on our midterms and final exams, but we need more than that amount. So ...

I'm a DJ!

I went to a club one night just to loosen up after taking exams and whatnot, and I couldn't take my eyes off of the DJ. No ... it had nothing to do with attraction - I could've cared less. But the way he was mixing the sounds and generally being creative ... I figured I could do it. They were having an amature night, and they LOVED me. I rock. I can't be knowledge all the time. I have to have a creative outlet. DJ-ing is not only fun and creative, but very lucrative as well.

Oh ... oh. Sorry ... RORA has also been putting her DJ-ing abilities to work. *rolls eyes*

Always trying to copy their older siblings. *shakes head*

But I have to give her props. She spins a mean LP! Her style is a little bit different than mine, but ... what can you do? We're not the same person. Not by a long shot.

By now you're both probably noticing that Rora and I have changed our appearances. I usually change mine every year. I like to shake things up a bit. I'm not some stodgy knowledge sim who only cares about test tubes.

Of course ... we've kinda spread the disease to Lisa. Heh-heh-heh ... *evil grin*

When she walked out of the bathroom after her makeover, I was AMAZED! I mean ... do you remember her from before?

She looked so ... so OLD!

And NOW look at her! WOO! The girl is on FIRE!! ;O)

With her new look, she started pursuing one of our newest pledges - Andrew GilsCarbo. He's a nice guy. And Lisa likes him ...

... a LOT!

I'm pretty sure that the feeling is mutal. I mean ... they've gone out a few times, and they both have these silly grins on their faces when they return to Var House.

Yup ... love is in the air at Var House. I'm still trying to figure out if that's a good thing or not.

I mean ... don't get me wrong. I have no problems with people acting out their romantic notions on the front lawn ...

But COME ON!!!

Show a little discretion! The cook has been known to gossip.

No ... no ... I'm not jealous that my Greek House members are in relationships and I haven't found anyone I'm interested in yet ... and I'm almost a senior ...

Yes ... midterms have passed and I've changed my hair again. :Op Anyway ... I'm sure I'll find someone. Sooner or later.

SO ... what have you and dad been up to since Rora and I left? Having fun? Write back soon and tell us all about it!

We love you.

Aurora and Star

So what HAVE Larana (our founder) and Benjamin Long been up to since the girls went away to college? What do a Romance sim and a Knowledge sim do all alone? Hmm ... find out next time! ;O))
