Good versus Evil

When last we observed the Leggasea family, the forces of evil were penetrating their humble dwelling.



Who would protect the family in their hour of need?
Would it be Larana - who has dealt with intruders before?



Or would it be Benjamin - man of limited observation?

And now that the excitement is over and done with, I think it's time to concentrate on something a bit more ... "GOOD".

A+ grades are good, aren't they?



Larana and Star think so.

And friends ... friends are good, too, aren't they?




You won't see Star complaining about that.

But what's even better is hugs from dad.



Yes, when a parent shows his child love, that's one of the best feelings in the world, the feeling of being loved. But do you know what's even better than that?

BIRTHDAYS!

Birthdays are good, aren't they? I've never been to one that wasn't good. And TWO birthdays makes it twice as good! (Math is our friend today.) Both Star and Aurora are having birthdays today.

Because she's the youngest, Larana allows Aurora to go first with her birthday wish. Star is a little annoyed by this, but ... what can you do?



Star knows exactly what to do. She's always been pretty self-sufficient. She gets the child-proof candle lighter and lights her own candles on her own birthday cake while Larana is helping Aurora blow out the candles on her cake.



What's your wish, Aurora?



To grow up to be just like your older sister?



WISH GRANTED!!!



And what about you, Star? What's your birthday wish?



To grow up and NOT look like your little sister who's probably going to get into your stuff now?



I think we can do that. But be careful of the cabinets when you transition ...



OOH! That had to hurt.




So you say you don't want to look anything like your little sister? Okay!



WISH GRANTED!!! Now you look like your mom. Hehe.



I hope you don't mind the cheerleading outfit. Wishes are fickle things you know.



Aurora seems to think you look quite lovely, Star. And your mom is choked up at how much you look like her when she was a teenager. Are you looking to follow in your mother's footsteps? And where the devil is your father?
