Fatherhood ... Better Late Than Never
Last time in the Leggasea Household, Larana had her second child (Aurora) ...

and basically lost her mind from the stress of basically doing it all on her own.

Star did what she could to help, but let's face it ... she's only a kid.

And Benjamin was being evil ... and it really ticked Larana off. You just shouldn't tick of Larana especially when it's only been hours after childbirth. That's just asking for trouble.

Will Benjamin realize that he's got a family to take care of and that the cure for Cancer is still a long way off? Let's find out!
Isn't it amazing when a smart, intelligent man realizes that he's not the only man in his woman's life? Not that he owns Larana or anything like that ... but still. He knows that Aurora is not his child. He and Larana haven't been intimate in a long time. He's been so busy working on his research. But ... being the "smart" man that he is, he doesn't let that bother him.
As a matter of fact, it was HE who was there for Aurora when she had her first age transition. (Author's note: AMAZING!)

Star didn't let that bother her. She felt no jealousy towards her younger sister. Besides ... she had her mom, and she knew her mom loved her even if her father spent more time with Aurora. Larana was always there when she brought home her A+ report cards.

And she was there to encourage her creativity ... especially when she mastered it.

So Star had no problems letting Aurora have her dad. Someone needed to be around to know that he was still appreciated in a house full of women.
And Aurora appreciated him a lot.

He bathed her when she got dirty ...

He taught her the basics that every toddler needed to know for the future.
How to walk ...

How to talk ...

And how to use the potty so that she could stop wearing diapers.

That's really all a toddler needs ... besides love. And she's got her mother and her sister for more of that.
Larana couldn't figure out why Benjamin seemed more attentive to a stranger's daughter than he was to his own flesh and blood, but since Star didn't seem to mind, she didn't bring it up.
But who's going to be there for the children when the safety and security of their homestead is penetrated by the forces of evil?

Find out next time!
